EVC Area Leadership Training & Development Programs

UExplore- An 8-month professional development program designed to provide exposure and tools to help early career and entry level employees learn about and explore the various career opportunities available within UC San Diego.
STRIVE Leadership Program - Four-year leadership and mentorship program. Curriculum includes: monthly and annual workshops, courses, certifications, and an individualized professional development plan of electives.

Educational Benefits - Reduced-fee enrollment or discounts on courses for eligible UCSD Employees.
Functional Training Opportunity (FTO) - This new program reimburses 50% of wages to departments that hire an FTO student. Students can work up to 20 hours per week, earnings cannot exceed $10,000 per year, and FTO utilization is a maximum of 2 years.
Scholarship Opportunity: LSS Green Belt at UCSD Extension - This certification includes both classroom training as well as hands-on practicum. Students will attend full days of in-class training, one day per week over a 6 week period at UCSD Extension. Find course details. In addition to the classroom training, each candidate will complete a process improvement project at work that would result in significant impact.
Staff Association Scholarship Program - Scholarship Opportunity up to $350 for eligible UCSD staff.
